The body of the kettle is constructed of enamel-on-steel, and the lid and handle are made of stainless steel.

USE & CARE

Before first use, wash in hot soapy water, rinse and dry. Safe to heat only on stove top. Never pre-heat kettle dry or let liquids boil dry. Do not overfill teakettle, as this can result in boiling water to be forced out of the spout. Water level should always be below spout on inside of teakettle. Do not leave heating teakettle unattended. Forgotten teakettles boil dry. Do not leave water in teakettle when not in use; doing so can result in mineral deposits. Always point spout away from you when boiling water or opening the spout. Use filtered water to prevent mineral deposits. Securely close lid and whistle flap before boiling. Hand-wash after daily use. For stubborn stains, soak in hot soapy water or scrub with non-abrasive baking soda on a wet sponge. To protect the beauty of your kettle, avoid strong impact, over-heating and heating empty. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, oven cleaners, bleach or strong abrasive cleaners.
